I recently moved to a new house and I’ve been so busy getting ideas from Pinterest (of course! it’s essential) and decorating. For today’s post, I wanted to share living room decor ideas and show you how it’s coming together. My husband and I decided to dedicate more time and not buy things just because we needed them. First, we choose a style for our living room and I have to admit we’re very lucky since the house has concrete floors. I will describe our style as retro, vintage, modern and rustic (haha!), I know it’s too long but I definitely think it’s a combination of everything. We still need to add a couple of things like a lamp and wall art, I will update this post as soon as we get both.
I recommend you to visit thrift or antique stores. They usually have amazing things at good prices. For example, vintage flower pots are such a good deal. All you see in my living room are from a thrift store.
Also, I love to mix wood, metals, and plants. They look so beautiful together. When it comes to decor, don’t overthinking just have fun! Home Depot is a good place to get your plants for a good price. All our plants are from there.
My husband got this cool locker from Craiglist and it was so cheap (YES!). Don’t forget to check Craiglist, you can get furniture, tables, etc. This locker is the best thing ever, it’s perfect for storage and organize everything.
Our sofa is from Mor Furniture and I love the color and the material. I definitely recommend this store if you’re on a budget. And finally, this oriental rug is from Target. We wanted to get a bigger rug but this is what we have for now and we really like it 🙂
My final recommendation is to take advantage of Pinterest/Youtube and start creating your own things. I did a mini collage with my wedding photos and I love the final result.
