Quinoa Pizza Crust

Hello beauties, this quinoa pizza crust is so easy to make. It’s gluten-free, delicious and nutrient-rich.

Quinoa Pizza Crust

This is the only grain-free pizza you will ever need! A protein and fiber packed quinoa crust.

For the crust:

  • 1 cup uncooked white or red quinoa (Read notes)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 tbsp olive oil
  • Pinch of salt, oregano and black pepper (Herbs and spices of preference)

For the sauce:

  • 1/2 tomato
  • 1/2 small onion
  • 1/2 red bell pepper
  • Pinch of oregano and black pepper

For the toppings:

  • 1/2 red bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 can corn
  • 1 jalapeno pepper chopped
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella (omit cheese or sub vegan cheese)


  • Make the crust: Preheat oven to 425 F. Blend all ingredients in a blender or food processor until a smooth pancake batter consistency is achieved. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Pour the batter and smooth with a spatula. Bake the crust for 12 minutes. Remove from the oven, flip the crust over and bake for another 10-12 more minutes.
  • Make the sauce: blend all ingredients except herbs and spices. Transfer the mixture into a pot, add oregano and black pepper, and stir to combine. Bring to a low boil and cook for 10 minutes until the sauce has thickened.
  • Assemble the pizza: remove the crust from the oven. Spread the sauce across the crust. Top with cheese, red bell pepper, corn, and mushrooms. Return to the oven and bake for another 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melty.
  • Slice the pizza and enjoy!


*Read quinoa cooking directions in package. If required, rinse quinoa in a fine meshed strainer under cold water for 1-2 minutes to wash away a bitter natural coating that coats the quinoa seeds.
